The Children’s Centre recently achieved a UNICEF baby friendly accreditation. We promote breastfeeding within the centre and have achieved the national standard.
We provide a weekly Breastfeeding support group called ‘Snuggles and Cuddles’ every Monday morning from 9.30 – 11.30am at Hazel Avenue and on 6th August will be celebrating our achievements. Health Visitors and Specialist Midwives from ‘Children and Family Health Surrey’ will be attending, along with local press, to present the award.

Our York Road site will be closed during the summer holidays due to refurbishment works in our Reception, Dining Hall, first floor and garden. The plans and designs are really exciting and we can’t wait!
Contractors will be on site from the 9th July but the Nursery will not be affected, although parents, carers and visitors will be ‘re-routed’ to avoid accessing the reception area. Please bear with us during these last few weeks of term. We will be up and running as usual from the start of next term.
Please note: we will not be running any events at York Road in the holidays, but will still have our timetable at Hazel Avenue during the summer period. The last Children’s Centre event at York Road until September will be the Well Baby Clinic on Fri 29th June.
If you have any queries, please don’t hesitate to get in touch by calling reception 01483 566589.
The CAP money course at Guildford Nursery School and Children’s Centre, Hazel Avenue, is for anyone who wants to make their monthly budget balance.

We will be starting our groups and sessions again on Monday 23rd April 2018. Please look out for our new timetable. Our Snuggles and Cuddles Breastfeeding support group and the Well baby clinics will continue to run every week as usual.
